Doctors Richard Kleppinger, Elwood Brubaker and George Meharg founded
Women's Clinic, Ltd. in 1948. Needless to say, many changes have occurred since
those early days, but two aspects have remained a constant: the quality of medical care and the pioneering efforts of our physicians. Richard
Kleppinger with the “Kleppinger Bipolar Forceps;” George Sexton with the ESVS incontinence procedure; Vincent Pellegrini with one of the
first IVF programs outside a major metropolitan medical center; our OB/GYN Ultrasound, Bone Density and clinical laboratory national
certifications; our extensive Urogynecology services, etc.

The year 1986 marked the beginning of our SART certified In Vitro Fertilization program as one of the very first private practice IVF programs in the country. The entire IVF/ICSI process is managed within our private practice facility. We are very proud to report that our clinical, ultrasound documented, pregnancy rate per IVF embryo transfer procedure has been over 40% for the last 5 years. Indeed, the clinical pregnancy rate for the last 2 years with both standard IVF and the more advanced IVF process of IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection has been 58%. This represents the top end of the national IVF statistics, where our program has been since its inception. These figures represent all IVF patients who have come to our program and not just a select group. Almost 350 babies have thus far arrived as a result of our IVF efforts.
