Fertility Medical Labs is wholly owned by and located within the Women's Clinic, Ltd. suite to offer convenience to patients. The laboratory is Pennsylvania State licensed, FDA inspected and CAP certified for full SART accreditation. The laboratory is directed by Sheldon Schlaff, MD, Medical Endocrinologist, and supervised by Michele Haas, BS.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The laboratory is also available on weekends and most holidays as needed for infertility patients.

Fertility Medical Labs performs endocrine and chemistry blood testing on patients of all ages. Most blood tests are performed same day or the next day giving your physician quick access to your results.

We are very proud of our advanced Andrology laboratory which offers in depth fertility semen analysis with Strict Morphology testing, post vasectomy semen analysis, antisperm antibody testing and semen preparation for intrauterine or IVF insemination.

Fertility Medical Labs is pleased to partner with Fairfax Cryobank, a world leader in sperm banking services, to offer male cancer patients the option to freeze semen prior to their cancer treatment. Many cancer treatments may cause permanent sterility. This option may allow those patients to become parents even after cancer treatment.

The Embryology laboratory of Fertility Medical Labs has been performing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with great success since 1987. All IVF procedures are performed in our state of the art facility. We have stayed on the cutting edge of new and current IVF technologies. Our IVF program currently offers standard IVF, IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and epididymal and testicular sperm extraction for IVF. Our IVF program is quite unique in its offering of select oocyte insemination for those patients who prefer not to have embryos frozen or discarded. We also offer a full embryo cryopreservation program. Michele Haas, Embryologist

Michele Haas, B.S., Embryologist and Laboratory supervisor, joined Women's Clinic Ltd. in February of 1993. She graduated from Beaver College in 1991 with a B.S. in Biology and Health. She attends yearly continuing education courses in order to stay up to date with the ever-changing field of infertility.

Michele believes that her extensive patient contact and the personalized care given to all IVF and infertility patients has helped contribute to the success of the infertility division.

Michele resides in Mohrsville with her husband, Cory, and two daughters, Melanie and Meredith. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and shopping.
